Whats the R2 of the model, the reg coeffecient of SAT scores and are they controlling for any other variables? That abstract is as good as useless on its own, so why bother presenting "evidence"? And then you condescend someone else for not "understanding basic statistics"...

Right, because you're better at science than the editors of that journal right? Where did you get your PhD? What journals do you work for?

Usually, scientific publications are seen as "evidence." If you don't believe it, then don't believe it. Makes no difference to me chump.

...What's the impact factor of that pre-health advisor journal? There are plenty of crap journals filled with crap studies. Actually, there are plenty of respectable journals that contain crap studies. We spent a good deal of time in my upper level courses breaking apart papers from PNAS, Nature, Journal of Immunology, etc. Just because it's published doesn't mean it's bullet proof.

From some "journal" published by the national society of pre-health advisors, at that...

Pre-health advisors you say? You get the wood, I'll get the rope and matches...

Is it really that difficult to get a bunch of SAT scores and MCAT score pairs and do a simple statistical test on them?
