Sorry for the repost, but I think I may have posted this in the wrong forum by putting it in the Pharmacy section.

Hi, I'm currently looking for a job as a pharmacy clerk and was wondering if anyone here knows the average pay for a clerk working at Sav-On Drugs. Is it a minimum wage job?

Also wondering if you had to choose between Sav-On, Target or Rite-Aid, which company would be a better learning and overall environment from your experiences? Thanks so much!

I have only worked at Rite-Aid out of the three of those stores. However, I have spent some time considering my other options since I live in a small town with pharmacies that have a small allowance of hours. I will need to find a pharmacy that will work me full-time. Out of only that experience I would definetly go for Target pharmacy. Why?

Rite-Aid pharmacy has very little in the way of mandatory technology. Some of our stores have Script Pros and some of us hand count everything so there isn't a mandatory learning experience there. We are a chain pharmacy but we are much closer to a traditional pharmacy, much as I would figure Sav-On to be. Our pay is low for technicians but we really get in a full day's work. One minute it is 9:00 am and the next it's after lunch considering how busy the techs are.

I believe I would love to work at Target. They have the Clear RX, are typically more renevated inside of the pharmacy, and the pay is rumored to be much better. I would say Target all across the board.

all the free standing savo-on have been converted to CVS. the pay rate for clerks in Orange county is $$7.55 i believe?

there was a posting for a pharmacy clerk for an independent pharmacy that says the clerk would be paid $10-12 but they want u to have previous experience. this was in san diego.
