yea, try to use Paypal, it's safer. Also, don't send money as "gift" either.
 
I had a feeling this guy was a scammer so I did it through PayPal and just had the money sent back to my account when he never sent the books.
 
Alright Guys, does anyone know how to contact sdn so they can close this thief's account.. It says it is on hold but I see "it " was just online again at 2:20pm hopefully not scamming anyone else.. I am referring to sal_116. "IT" has blocked me from viewing their profile so I cant see who they last spoke with.. This mongoose needs to be stopped.

Hey I was going to order one of these too and I want to use PayPal.

Is it safe to send the money first? If I don't receive the item how can I get my money back. Also what if the person sends an item but it's not what I wanted. Does this rule of getting money back Still apply? I don't use paypal much so I'm new to this.

I wish i knew the answer.. I have decided not to purchase on here.. the risk is way too high.. This SCAMMER IS STILL OUT HERE while SDN is trying to figure out how to close his account.. He was just back on engaging in a conversation at 6:57pm.. people BEWARE!!
 
Guys, this scammer is still out here.. If they as much as mention Google wallet, back out.. If they say paypal is ok make sure you find out to make sure the account wasn't just created. when you do get an email of anyone you perceive to be a scam artist please post on the FRAUD /SCAM thread.and most of all get a phone number that you can call, dont just let them call you you should also call them. I sincerely hope no one gets ripped off by this thief again.

Thank you so much for this update! I asked my brother to Google wallet the payment since this app does not work in Canada. This morning I thought of sending an email to this [email protected] to check and sal_116 is banned from sdn and instantly was able to figure out the scam. I was able to stop my brother on time. PayPal is the safest option in such forums.
 
Be careful people.. NO GOOGLE WALLET. and if paypal is fine take extra precaution to get a phone number you call for validation and an actual address since you would be giving yours out for shipping purposes. if possible as for real time video chat ( You don't need to see their face. all you need is a hand flipping the pages of the book.

A true seller would not mind doing this. Especially if they claim they really want to get rid of the book because they are travelling or leaving the country or just want to simply sell it.
