Scary dream

I had this really scary dream last night! In my dream you could see the status in some kind of tracking page which applicant the adcom at colorado was deliberating. Like each student had a number (sort of like how at the DMV, the little window booth shows which number is up). And seriously, each number took like 2 min... and finally my number came up . I was thinking "holy crappers, ok, so now they're skimming my ps, looking at my gre's + gpa, reading the supplemental..." while biting my nails. And finally the number moved onto the next person's. So then I immediately tried to log on to my application status page but my computer crashed!!! I was in tears trying to get my computer back up, but I took it as a sign that I was definitely rejected. And right as I was logging back on, I get this phone call from my sister's boyfriend who tells me that she's about to go into a liposuction procedure for her sex change surgery!? 😱

I had a doozy two nights ago too!

I dreamt I got kicked out of my MN interview (and thus no possiblilty for an acceptance) for publically declaring another interviewee was a vampire. In my defense she really was a vampire and I was just trying to save everyone.

I realize it sounds so dumb but I woke up in a cold sweat convinced I had completely blown my chance at ever being a vet.

I remember having those dreams around this time last year. Even after I got my acceptance I kept having dreams where the adcom called me up and said there was a mistake and they revoked my admission. Then after I started vet school I kept having dreams about flunking out.

Finally, they've stopped! I think I've settled in! 😳

My dream from last night has nothing to do with acceptances/rejections, but it was still ridiculous.

I was just sitting on my bed, when I realized that I had both a pet fish and a pet beetle. There was no water involved, but the fish was just hanging out, happy as can be. Eventually, the fish ate the beetle, so I got upset and walked away for a few minutes. When I came back, I realized I also left an acorn on my bed, which the fish proceeded to eat as well. Unfortunately, this was a small goldfish, and it choked (in a very human-like manner, ie its own fins around its "neck" area) to death. Then I woke up.

At least i'm not the only one...

i had this dream about a week ago (during the terminal surgery thread discussion). I was a tech and I walked up to the vet to help assist in the terminal surgery that was going on. A cat was lying on the table with her abdomen fully open as they were operating. I realized the cat was awake and i screamed "OMGGG YOU DIDNT PUT HER UNDER" and they turned to me and said "this is what a terminal surgery is, of course we didnt put her under" and i was hysterically crying and screaming that the cat could feel everything so they told me to either do the surgery or quit, so i walked out. I woke up sweating 🙁

(plz dont take this post as for/against terminal surgery, it was just my scary dream)
