I had only averaged about 16cr/semester before pharmacy school and boy do they work out butts off! I did have my degree though so I was used to the upper level classes (and some of my undergrad classes were comparable in difficulty). From what I hear 3rd year is less tests/lectures and more cases and stuff to prepare for. In one of our classes we have verbal defense where "a patient" asks us a question and we have to give them an answer on the spot. We also get videotaped (how fun, right?). After this past year though I feel like I can accomplish anything! It's true the second year is the hardest but when you complete it, it's such an accomplishment. Keep working hard and you'll be there one day! 🙂

It's official: i'll be finished with general biology this summer! thank goodness.

Colleges still have honors courses?

Yes, my community college has an Honors Contract with UCLA. If you complete 12 units of honors classes, you can get priority consideration for a lot of the UC schools.
