schedules for new interns

Any new interns get their schedules yet? or... does anyone know generally when they are given to us? Just want to know if i'm going to make it to that wedding or two that i've been invited to this summer...and its tough to plan! thanks everyone!

All interns at all programs start in the NICU...😛 or so they say a few years later!

Most programs don't give out schedules until orientation or at most a week beforehand. If you have a wedding you REALLY want to go to (like your own), you can try emailing the program chief or the chief resident....be respectful and say things like "if it's possible" rather than "I have to be off" (unless it IS your own wedding🙄 )

We were sent our schedule for the year and our call schedule for the first couple of months too ... I'll bet it's made ... just ask.

I got my schedule for the year on monday. My program told us if we had requests to make them early. I requeste to have my first vacation in November since we're expecting a baby around that time and they gave it to me. I would suggest to contact your PD if there is a wedding or two that you really want to attend.
