So I am trying to think ahead about how to map out the rest of the pre-reqs along with MCAT timing and whatnot, and would like your opinions on when I should drop physics into this (ps: never took a phsyics class in HS).
Last year I finished up gen chem and calc1/2. So I still need bio, orgo, physics, and english. This fall semester I have scheduled Bio+lab, Orgo I+lab, and DiffEq (and spanish which will be relatively easy). From what I've heard, diffeq and intro bio at my school are pretty big time-soaks - along with orgo ofc. I think adding physics1+lab here would be a mistake since I'm going to be involved with EC's/research.
So for spring semester I'm thinking orgo II, Linear alg, next spanish. And now I'm thinking I can go with an easy bio course (any suggestions?) since I have AP credit for the 2nd semester of intro bio, and add physics1? Does that sound do-able, or too much (because I heard orgo II was even worse than I)? Another concern with this is that my univ doesn't offer Phys 2 during the fall semester, so I would have to take it during the 2nd summer session. But I was planning on applying to a summer scholar's program to do research full-time over the summer - and the program doesn't allow you to take classes, unless absolutely relevant to the research.
Uhh so tl;dr=since I didn't double bio/chem 1st year I'm set back trying to throw physics into the schedule. Any thoughts on when to drop it in would be greatly appreciated.
