I'm currently applying to surgery and have an upcoming sub-I at the end of the month. I have been on sub-I rotations since I started 4th year in July, and am currently a little burned out from packing up my life and moving every 4 weeks. Does not doing my next sub-i (its not a top choice) have any effect on the rest of my application? I didn't think so, but just wanted to check it out. I am thinking of replacing it with anesthesia.

BTW, my only concern about cancelling the Sub-I for next month is that its short notice. That doesn't look very good IMHO.
