I recently saw this great text, by schillingburg, I think the title was "Principles of tooth preparation." Where can I get it? I can't find it anywhere.

Also, If this book is hard to find is there another one that will do the trick? I want NOTHING more than a step by step, how to do each prep, for operative and/or prosthodontics. I want color photos of each step, telling you how to use your bur, and which bur to use. I dont want sturdevant or something like that where it is all the stuff you get in lecture anyway.

I just want step by step, how to do each prep, with pictures and which shape bur to use.

Where do I buy that?

thanks,
DrKorn

I own that book. I got it from Amazon. I am a 2nd year at OU where Dr. Shillinburg was the head of Fixed Prosthodontics for many years. He still comes back and lectures on occasion. In fact, he lectured us on Wednesday. He is getting pretty up there in age but is world known in fixed prosthodontics.

I also went to OU and had the pleasure of learning directly from the master himself. That is a good book. You misspelled his name and got the title wrong. That is why you couldn't find it.

The title is "Fundamentals of Tooth Preparations for Cast Metal and Porcelain Restorations." The authors name is "Shillingburg."

You can find it here: http://www.amazon.com/Fundamentals-...bs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1241455496&sr=8-2
