Anyone here do anything like the Rhodes scholarship before starting medical school? I was considering possibly applying for one of these things before medical school. Any input would be appreciated.

Teach for America is a really great experience.

I've always heard that one must be nominated for the Rhodes scholarship; you can't really apply to them.

Not according to their website. Though they do require 8 letters of rec😱 😱

I would tell anyone this: don't count on the rhodes. Gates, Marshall, thouron, goldwater, etc, maybe.
