I heard from some students that Barry is quite generous with scholarship money. Just curious what you accepted guys were offered? I received 2.5 K for the first year and can be renewed with a 3.0 or above.

Scholl offered me the best scholarship so far (half tuition for first year and maybe renewed if you do very well). DMU offered 3 K for the first year and can be renewed with a certain GPA.

Seems a lot of people got the 3K a year at DMU. Only thing is you have to be in top 25% of the class or it's gone second year.

I was offered $5,000 for first year at Barry with renewal every year if I keep my GPA above 3.0

OCPM offered $5,000 a year as long as my GPA stays above 3.5 upon graduation of undergrad

2500 from Temple......my stats aren't amazing by any means either...could be that all ppl accepted at Temple get something...anyone know?

For me,

NYCPM offered $12K spread over four years (I don't think there were any stipulations for GPA wise).

Temple offered $8k Merit Scholarship for first year tuition.

Note: For Temple, the paper says scholarship money for year two - four depends on class rank (top 10% $6k, next 10% is $3k, and other scholarships available for below the top 20%). I remember when I visited they had a huge packet of scholarships you can apply for which can add up. For ex, one was $1k to students from Georgia - if you were the only student in the class from Georgia that year, then I believe its yours if you apply.

NYCPM offered me $8k over four years and Temple said $12k for the first year when they called to let me know I was accepted. I just received the acceptance packet from Temple today, but there was nothing in it about my scholarship. Those who got a scholarship from Temple, did the scholarship info come in your packet or in a different one?

Ha did you make sure to look in everything in your Temple packet? I opened up the folder, saw I was accepted and owed $500 and then saw a self-address envelope I figured was to mail the deposit in so I didn't look in it,closed the folder, and walked into the other room. A minute later I decided to look in that envelope (it had a red stamp w/ read immediately or something) and it was a separate paper w/ the scholarship money. Nice job getting the $12k...maybe I should hold out for more. Are you going to be attending Temple?

If you were offered half-tuition, take it!!! dude, you're going to smart wherever you go, DMU/SCPM wherever, but man, to have a "half-tuition" scholarship, that looks GREAT on resume. Much better than a scholarship that EVERYONE gets...just remember that!

I think the scholarship is awesome and all...but I'm wary of the stipulation in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd year to KEEP it. They said outstanding performance but don't say things like "top 10 %, top 10 students, etc." I should call admissions for the real deal on this.

Thanks for the tip, it probably would have taken me a long time to look in that envelope, if I ever would

I was offered $5k from both OCPM and Scholl, still waiting to hear from DMU. I had a 3.5 ug GPA, and 28 MCAT.😉
