Can't find an answer.

Can I apply to both Rosiland Franklin's Podiatry and Medical Porgram?

I would apply to the medical school first. Pod schools do not fill up until much later. You can always go back and reapply later.

BUT if you want to do traditional allopathic/osteopathic medicine dont apply to podiatry as a safety. Its similar, but completely different. Just keep at the MD/DO game and you will eventually get in (assuming your stats are competative).

Along time ago I read somewhere on here that a student applied to the medical school there, was rejected, and shortly later received information about their pod school. But again thats just regurgitation from what I have read on SDN.

I'm just going to throw this out there.

Do you really think that the admissions department is going to notice that you've applied to both? They probably don't share the same admissions staff and committee, so why not apply to both?

I'm pretty sure you have to reveal in the MD app that you are applying to DPM and vice versa so it would be better to do what dyk343 said. If this is not the case then go ahead and apply to both at the same time. I'm almost positive that they aren't allowed to share info since technically they are separate admissions departments and you are releasing your DPM app to Scholl College and your MD app to Chicago Medical School separately. It will probably violate some sort of privacy act if they do share info.

Curious...does it ask on the Scholl Podiatry App if you are applying elsewhere? If it does, it shouldn't. If they ask, honestly, its none of their damn business.

It's a centralized application now and I believe it does ask if you have ever applied or plan to apply to...optometry, podiatry, dentistry, medicine, etc.

You can refuse to answer this question. Furthermore, if you do not get in to whatever school and this is on the app, you have grounds for a fight for descriminatory behavior. Ask an attorney.

Also, you can fudge it tbh. Apply for another school after and "to the best of your knowledge" at the time, you hadn't applied. There is NO reason for this question to be on any app or being asked of you at any interview.
