Could you break down your GPA's by year and separate your postbac GPA?

Did you ever connect with mentoring organizations dedicated to supporting aspiring Black (male) physicians? Have you attended any recruitment events (in-person or virtual)? Have you talked with admissions recruiters, especially those at HBCU med schools?

Yes! I’m currently in one for black physicians at the moment. I have not attended any recruitments events or spoken with admissions recruiters at HBCU. (How would I go about the latter?)

I suggest these schools with your stats:

NOVA MD
Belmont

Your mentors should be able to connect you to any admissions recruiters at HBCUs (and probably other schools on your list).

I encourage you to look for service orientation activities (food distribution, shelter volunteer, job/tax preparation, legal support, transportation services, or housing rehabilitation). You should try to get 150 hours before submitting your application, but if you have already submitted for the current cycle, get started so you have hours in case you have to reapply next year.
