  1. cGPA 3.6x sGPA 3.58 AMCAS. Freshman year 3.3 but significant upward curve with last 31 credits 3.97 sGPA cGPA.

  3. MA Resident (Ties to NY undergrad)
  4. Ethnicity and/or race: ORM
  5. Undergraduate institution or category: Ivy
  6. Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer)
    - Scribing 600 hours
    - CNA-type job at Psychiatric Hospital 600 hours
  7. Research experience and productivity
    - 300 hours in nanomedicine lab at Harvard
    - 350 hours in material science lab at Harvard
    - 600 hours in biotech start up (continued project from material science lab) + 1 Publication in high impact journal
  8. Shadowing experience and specialties represented
    - 48 hours across ENT, Plastic Surgery, Psychiatry
  9. Non-clinical volunteering
    - 600 hours working at a summer camp with inner city children since high school + summers in undergrad
    - 20 hours mentoring middle school children
    - 50 hours mobile clinic in Guatemala (No medical duties, mainly translating, logistics, setting up etc.)
  10. Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc)
    - Musical Instrument as a hobby since middle school. Played at a conservatory, Boston Symphony Hall, toured Germany (Played at a US Air Force base) in high school. Since college no group involvement outside of playing as a hobby to destress.

Is this a balanced list and should I be cutting out some of these schools? Thank you!

Remove Drexel, Wayne State and Temple since they will"yield protect" with your stats. You should receive several interviews from the other schools on your list.

Assuming you're able to convey your experiences well both verbally and in written form, you could probably remove 10-15 schools. It's interesting that you've included nearly every school in New York except Columbia. I'd pick your favorite SUNY and remove the other SUNYs unless you have strong feelings otherwise. Georgetown could come off your list too.

If you don't mind the expense and time commitment associated with writing 35+ secondary application, then you can certainly keep your list as though. I'd recommend prewriting secondaries in that case.

You'll likely do well.
