The most important question far and away is where all are you a reapplicant at

Uhm.. you mentioned that you applied to top 25 last year (I assumed top 25 USNews), and have just finished 25 secondaries. That was quite quick. Did you reuse the previous secondaries?

Thanks for checking. I pre-wrote my essays this time, so I was able to submit them fairly quickly. I tried to change all the essays so none of them are cut-and-paste.

Any list that contains both CN"U" and Wash U cannot be faulted for lack of breadth!
Yep, I wanted to make sure I covered multiple tiers. Unfortunately, CNU hasn't sent me their secondary anyway..

Are there any other schools that would be a good idea to add or is this it?

Thanks!

All we can give you are some general observations.
High stats re-applicants are presumed to have non-cognitive reasons for their outcome.
This makes the asterisk schools less likely to be receptive.
The schools that get >10K aps with a median around 31 (even without an asterisk) are not likely to interview you.
Your best additions are schools with high median MCAT's where you are not a re-applicant.

Could you elaborate a bit on the non-cognitive reasons? Would this be things such as interview performance, etc?

Thanks for your help!

Your scores did not keep you out. That leaves all the other core competencies.

Being a reapplicant doesnt mean have a list of 40 schools. Rather you have to target the right ones.

As was mentioned above the schools your MCAT are way above the 90th(particularly those that get >9k apps) arent going to do anything for you.
Top 20 schools often tend not to favor reapplicants. Those are the other area I'd look to cut from.

Keeping some top 20 reapps is fine but but you should go into this cycle with at least a dozen schools you can say you have a reasonable shot at getting a II at. You shouldnt consider schools you are a reapp amongst this dozen.

Northwestern Pitt and Duke are good examples from that collection above to keep. Find more like them(ie UVA, CWRU, Cornell etc). You should be able to find at least a dozen like this where you arent a reapp at.

Consider AZ - Phoenix, Iowa, Hofstra, and Oakland.

I would add Emory (they're not high mcat crazy, but have a high enough average to not screen you out).

Your late application hurt you, but I would also think about going a different route on secondaries. I know you've already submitted quite a few, but you should have gotten more interviews. So something is the culprit.
