Good afternoon,
I am hoping to get input on my school list, I have applied to all of these schools, I need to see if I should add a few more
I have been a practicing pharmacist for 6 years now (NC resident), 5 years doing clinical work-chart reviews in nursing facilities (>20k hours of clinical experience, not all pharmacy-was a phlebotomist in Ug worked 27hrs/wk while in school and 18hrs/week while in pharmacy school).
I am board certified in geriatric medicine
AACOMAS sgpa 3.51, cgpa 3.59, pharmacy gpa 3.76 (summa cum laude, Rho Chi Honor Society, Frank Law award), 28 mcat (10,9,9), 7 LORs (shadowed a DO physician and also have a letter from him as well)
Ug research-just did a poster presentation (200 hours)
ECs-Big Brother Big Sisters of Western North Carolina (I have been mentoring a little brother for the past year-still mentoring), Manna Food bank (been volunteering for a year-also one of my letter writers), basketball coach, tutored in pharmacy school; (total EC hours around 300 here)
My MCAT scores released this past Thursday
I have applied to:
ACOM
CUSOM
DMU
all three VCOMs
PCOM-PA and GA
LECOM-Erie, Seton Hill, and Bradenton
LUCOM
LMU
MARIAN
NOVA
WVSOM
University of Pikeville-Kentucky
I have completed 11 secondaries so far
So my questions are, how does my school list look? Should I add any? What are my chances with this list?
Thank you in advance for any help/wisdom provided!
I would love to hear from @Goro, @gyngyn and @user3 if you all have the time
