Hi guys. I am finalizing my school list to submit tomorrow. 3.5+ GPA for both, 504 MCAT (23 on old MCAT *cringe*). I posted on WAMC but I am hoping to get some more opinions. I have very strong ties to the Midwest (IL resident) so I am hoping to stick close to home.
ECs: lots of shadowing, including DO w/ OMM and DO letter
-ED scribe ~1.5 years, currently optometric technician working directly with patients since Oct 2015
-Volunteer at children's hospital and camp counselor at summer camp for children with cancer, have volunteered at fundraising events for same organization
-Physics research, 1 poster no pubs
-Leadership positions through my undergrad's Academic Integrity Board and Pre-Med Club
So far I have DMU, CCOM, KCUMB, ATSU-KCOM, LMU, MU-COM, ACOM, WVSOM, CUSOM, VCOM.
I want to add a few more schools just to be safe. Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated!
