I was thinking of preparing a bunch of stamped envelopes for my recommenders this weekend and giving it to them - does anyone have a list of the addresses that these would need to be sent to? Specifically I'm looking for:

OSU
Wright State
U of Cincinnati
MCO
NEOUCOM
Case
Mayo
Hopkins
Harvard
Baylor

Thanks

go to amcas click on contact schools and choose individual schools website. It should have the address to send LORs in. Good Luck

dude, I think it's wrong to have your letter writers prepare so many letters. Don't you have a central service, dossier, at your school that collects your letters?

If not use a letter collecting service like interfolio to take care of it.

My school doesn't have a letter service cause we are small. I asked a couple of my professors if they would prefer a service like interfolio and they said they felt more comfortable writing out individualized letters for each school. So I would definately ask which they would prefer...

Yeah, a lot of schools do not have a letter service. I just made it very easy for them since my school did not have a service. Providing them with stamped letters that are already addressed is a good thing. I also made it clear that most schools were looking for the same information so they could really only write one letter on a word processor and only make minor changes as needed. I also made sure that I gave them all the info they could ever want . . . resume, dates of interactions we had, particular strengths and weaknesses in my application, traits about me that I felt he/she may have noticed, and of course instructions on who the letters need to be sent to. I found most profs were very good about it (and was told several times that it is their job to write LORs and that I should not feel bad about it . . . I was also told that it was so nice for me to make it easy on them). As for addresses, look on the schools' websites. Often those have an address for LORs to be sent to.

whew...

glad to know i'm not the only one from a small school that doesn't have a letter-collecting/do-all-your-work-for-you committee..(just kidding! lol) but for real, i had to submit 17 addresses to one of my recommenders, but he said it was fine and that he understood.. he is writing one letter and then doing a mail merge to get the addresses in there. in terms of getting all the addresses, i composed a word document with all the schools and addresses. also, although 1 of my recommenders did all 17 letters, for the others, i divided it up among profs so each is doing 8 or 9.. just a suggestion..lol..its crazy that some schools will accept up to 6 letters and others only ask for two.. this process is sooooo unpredictable!! keep in touch ..
