Dear all

It seems that I have a good chance of being accepted for PhD at the School of Dentistry in Otago.

I would appreciate any comment from anyone who knows the Dental School in Dunedin. I want to know the standard of education there, the standard of research facilities, someone told me that the dental library is not as good as those in England, the chances of getting a scholarship for an international student and the living expenses in Dunedin???

I would be sincerely thankful for any help

What do you mean by a good chance of getting accepted? Did they send you an acceptance letter already or are you just speculating?

Otago is in Dunedin. It's a nice student city. Standard of living apparently has gone up. It now has some Starbucks too. The library was and is still good. The IT people have really improved the local and international access to internet. I won't be too worried about not being able to access the materials as you would need during your research. Besides, you should be asking that kind of questions to your potential mentor at Otago! Who is your mentor for PhD anyway? Maybe it's someone I knew from the past?
