i have strong belief that schools have access to your central application which lists the schools you applied to and whether you were invited for interview or accepted. they know everything and they work together on this.

i also have strong belief that they already know who they will accept/hold even before the interview.

the admissions people have their own pharmcas layout where they can make notes abotu your file so other schools can see.

sometimes I wonder that too KMIMSM. sometimes I wonder.

Why would schools waste time trying to figure this out?

Why would you even wonder about this?

Idk... why would some schools outright ask you where you applied on the supplemental application if they already know? To see if you're lying? LOL I don't know... I mean, I'm not refuting what you say, but I'm just skeptical.

I personally don't really mind if they know... what if you don't get accepted to some of the schools? You have to have a mix of schools to make sure you have a better chance... it's really about probability... I don't think a pharmacy school would hold that against you. If anything... they have tons of qualified applicants to fill your spot if you decline your acceptance. As long as you are ethical about it, honest, and give them proper notice than I don't see why they would mind if you apply to other schools. I think it just shows that you are serious about pharmacy and you really really really want to get in.

Back when I was in college, I've had an admissions person ask me where else I had applied to college. I really doubt he would need to ask me that if he knew where I had applied.

Before they ask you, they would not know.

Unless the PharmCAS works a certain way that I don't know about, I don't think schools would know unless you disclosed that information on a certain part of the application other than listing which schools would receive your application.

For example, if your professor gave you a recommendation for UT, and it also went to UF, then the school in UF would know you applied to UT. If you don't do something like that, then UF wouldn't know you applied to UT.

I think PharmCAS killed Kennedy and faked the moon landing too

Moon landing? Totally staged. And you are giving these pharmacy schools WAY too much credit. Although maybe, just maybe, they are that smart. Just taking turns offering acceptances to steal our deposits...

Big Brother is watching you ... *:scared:

If PharmCAS is a massive conspiracy, one should worry even less about the application process. Everything is already determined for us; Therefore, we should enjoy the application and interview process, resting assured that nothing we do will change things. I think that I'll wear a pair of chaps to my UNC interview ... 😀

for the same reason professors ask you for your transcripts even when they already have access to your student records. i know this because i know some faculty members.

The same reason I ask for the callers name even when the customer profile already pops up in front of me when they call at this company i work for.

i think its standard procedure.

I don't think schools know where you applied to, but I know for a fact that schools can see where you were accepted. That's what the adminissions director at UCSD told us during the presentation.

There's a difference between official and unofficial transcripts.

Is that only if you use PharmCAS? I never used PharmCAS to apply to any school, so I don't know.

But unless you post about it online or tell people about it, schools won't know if you have applied somewhere or if you have even been accepted somewhere.

Even if they know where you applied to, does it even matter? I mean, every freaking applicant will have applied to a few schools so they come to expect it. This is much-ado-about-nothing...

Yeah. PharmCAS.

I heard they also write down what you wear to each interview. So don't think you can pull off the same outfit - or the pharmcas fashion police will be waiting to escort you out of your next interview.

I think that wearing the same outfit to multiple interviews is as severe of an offense as re-gifting a Christmas present; When both schools find out, you'll be sent to the alternate list, never to be removed again.

Who gives a **** whether or not they can see it? Once you apply, there are no status changes to PharmCAS. It's an APPLICATION SERVICE, not a tracker. You don't get 'interview invitation' flags next to your schools, or accepted/denied.

I called Pharmcas and asked them if the schools could see who you applied to and they told me that the schools do not receive that information. I don't think they would lie.

This shouldn't even be discussed anymore. its classified information.

the more i disclose the more it will change the way things work with apploications and admissions. Maybe I'm right maybe i;m not. lets not worry about it anymore.

besides why would schools even need to know where a student got "accepted" but they do.
