Hello all,
I am currently working in a school district through the Teach for America program. Nothing is certain now, but I may need to resign from my position early this year pending some huge family issues.
What I want to know is if schools can rescind acceptance based on leaving Americorps, TFA, or a job earlier than the final ending date. I am really hoping I don't need to leave, but if I do, I want to get a feeling for the perspective of medical schools on this.
Is it a guaranteed rescinded acceptance, or case by case? Completing AmeriCorps was never legally declared as a pre-requisite or imperative condition for my acceptance the way that academic record and criminal background check are. Obviously I will need to email specific schools to find out more, but I am looking for first thoughts here. I apologize I can't go into the specific family issues publicly.
Thanks for any knowledge.
