Hey all,

After looking over this forum, I started to get nervous about getting into schools. It seems like there are so many great, qualified students getting rejected, so I'm trying to figure out what schools are still taking applications so I can cast a wider net.

I applied to 6 schools, and have only heard back from one (wait-list at Rush).

Does anyone know of any non-OTCAS schools that are still taking apps?

Cheers and best of luck to everyone!

I'm in the same boat as you, I've only heard back from Toledo (wait-listed) and am getting really nervous. I jumped the gun and applied to 2 schools last minute before their 1/31 deadline 2 weeks ago because I was so worried, so I get where you're coming from, but try not to stress too much about it! A lot of schools I applied to didn't have deadlines until January so even though I applied months ago I won't hear for a few more weeks (I'd assume your situation is probably similar). Even so, I have a few schools written down on a "backups" document that I'll share with you - FIU is due on 2/15, and non-OTCAS. I also have Milligan, Eastern Michigan, and Spalding written down, not sure if any are rolling admissions or when they're due but probably worth a shot! Good luck!

Thanks so much for the encouragement, guys! Trying to panic a liiiiiitle less.

OT4Life: I took your advice and started hitting up the list on AOTA. If anyone else out there is still scrambling to apply to a few more schools, I've found a few to start:

East Michigan (MI) 4/1
U of St. Augustine (had multiple deadlines)
Barry U (FL) 4/1
Florida Int'l (2/15)
Idaho State: a little confused, I couldn't find a hard deadline, but it said to have apps in by 1/15 to get scholarship consideration which made me think that maybe the deadline went beyond that?
Louisiana State U (New Orleans campus) 6/1
West New Mexico: 4/1
Spalding: 5/15
Milligan: 4/1

Thanks so much to 2bOT for sharing: Spalding, Milligan, FIU, Eastern Michigan!

I'm really stoked that this forum exists and that we can share ideas, stories, encouragement etc :)

So I thought I would help a little more and throw out some schools that I found after you asked. :) Concordia University, Sage Graduate School, Bay Path College, Thomas Jefferson University, and University of New Hampshire. Hope these helped!
Concordia University already has over 200 applications. They also guarantee spots within their Master's program to those who began as freshman in the BS in Rehab Science to Master of OT program. So depending on how many students are transitioning from their undergrad to the Master's this year will determine how many spots will be left out of those 24.

You should still have a shot. I think I applied this time last year to their program and received an interview. There are two additional essays if I recall on their main website. I would have loved to have gone to Creighton but cost was the determining factor.
