Georgetown and Creighton screens for 125 subsection. Not sure if its a strict screen though. On GT's website, it just say below 125 is considered "non-competitive"
where did you find this info about Creighton? I tried searching but couldn't find any info about a screen. I have a very low CARS but my composite is in their range
It should be on Creighton's admission page. I saw something similar before but wasn't sure where exactly it is. But I see multiple posts here that mentioned that Creighton looks for >125 subsection. You can call the office to confirm or just search those threads.where did you find this info about Creighton? I tried searching but couldn't find any info about a screen. Creighton does a screen of <125. Especially going to be strict in CARS because they have such a high esteem for high CARS scorers. If you look at their MSAR, their 10th percentile is 125. Knowing this, I'm assuming that 10% have a 125 but 0% will be lower than 125. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Is this a new screen? Because I know it wasn't there in 2016 when my friend applied with a 124 and 122 CARS respectively and got in 😕

doesn't MSAR say they give secondary to all? I think that's what I saw there..

Spoke to my friend who called Creighton last week. The lady said they do a soft screen with wiggle room?? It would be best to call them for clarification.
Edit: Also, there is a guy who is applying to 74 schools this cycle and called about screening. Creighton is having a 125 subsection screen for this year's applicants.

Wow you're a saint for posting that. As you said, on Georgetown's website it says that <125 is "non-competitive." I did call them and they said that it will just play to one's disadvantage if one has 1 subsection <125, but they do multiple reviews of each candidate's file, holistic approach yadah yadah ya. I'll follow up with Creighton tomorrow

Getting a secondary does not mean you made it past the screen! Most schools will collect your secondary money before implementing the screen. There are a rare few (mostly Ca schools) who will screen before secondaries.
Please let us know when you find out form Creighton!
In their email response, they just gave me the average composites and section breakdowns from last cycle, and then said that the committee looks at the entire application before making decision
I would take it this as a "a 124 won't auto reject you, but don't expect much from us."In their email response, they just gave me the average composites and section breakdowns from last cycle, and then said that the committee looks at the entire application before making decision![]()

Hey guys, I'm the one that posted that. I guess I can prove it if need be, but I don't think anyone else would want to admit to that kind of tomfoolery.
Feel free to ask me anything, I likely will have a poorly-crafted answer!

Hahaha, I got asked that a ton in the thread. Let me copy paste my answer for you 🙂
"as an applicant, i felt that my undergraduate academic history is no longer an accurate representation of who i am. i'm currently taking post-bac classes and will continue to do so throughout the cycle while i work a job and two research positions.
i thought that if i spent all of june prewriting, i can squeeze in this many schools and come out barely alive. i never want to look back at my life again and only be able to think "i could've tried harder."
so here i am"
