So I'm 2nd year undergrad and dropped pre-med last year, so I skipped out this semester on the pre-req classes. Since they are sequential, I can't take the second half of the courses in the spring. I'm also going abroad fall of jr year and wont be able to take pre-dental classes.

So basically what schools have the most flexible pre-reqs? I know some let students take zoology as one semester of general bio, stuff like that. I also know the options to study abroad another time or take summer classes, so no point in bringing that up

Probably the biggest pain in the ass will be taking physics, so any schools that are relaxed on that would be good

Also, for dental, do my classes need to be done by the end of jr year? I have seen some that say to just get them done by the end of sr year if you plan on going to dental school directly afterwards

Thanks

All of the schools that I interviewed at are pretty strict on pre-reqs, and I have a feeling you'd find that everywhere. They're pre-reqs for a reason - they want you to have a solid base in micro or biochem, or they wouldn't require them before dental school. I'm taking my last pre-req this semester, but planned on taking anatomy and physiology (pre-reqs to one of the schools I applied to, but not going to) in the spring. Be smart about your schedule, and if worst comes to worst take them in the summer.

Schools aren't going to be very flexible... They have pre-reqs for a reason. They won't make exceptions. You are more than welcome to call the schools though. Good luck...
