General Admissions & OTCAS Schools with free applications

Hey everyone,

I am new here and I am trying to apply to OT school this fall. I was wondering if there are any schools that the applications are free (like D'Youville). Thanks and good luck to all of you!

Any school that is going through OTCAS aren't free. OTCAS has a fee for each application. Some also have a supplemental application and require you to pay for an additional fee. While I was applying, I didn't come across any that were free. If you are trying to save some money, maybe apply to those that don't require a supplemental to avoid the extra charge.

The application process for OT school itself can get quite expressive. On OTCAS alone it is $140 for the first application and I believe $60 for each additional. SO it seems great because you can send to multiple schools (which you want to do to maximize your chances of getting in), however it can add up pretty quickly. As mentioned above pay special attention to the specific school websites as they often require their own application in addition to OTCAS which can accrue even more of a cost. If you can find programs that offer free applications kudos to you and please share, you just have to be diligent and read all of the fine print on each school's website. Best of luck to you!! 🙂
