First of all, what schools out there have patient simulators like PHIL, Human Patient Simulator, or Harvey?

Second, if your school had one, what sort of interactions have you had with your simulator? What sort of things did you perform, learn, etc...? 😀 😎 😕 😡 :scared: 🙄 😀

Have any of you had any experience with the newer versions, like BabySim, Pelvic Exam Sim, PediaSim?

I've seen a few schools with them on interviews: St. Louis (has 1), Louisville (4), Wake Forest (1...I think), PCOM-Atlanta campus (1), George Washington (has a cardiac simulator and surgery simulator - not quite the same thing).

Penn State seemed to have a whole collection of them (including a colonoscopy dummy who moans when you puncture the colon). And I know Penn has a Harvey doll, though based on what the Penn Med students tell me - they show you the Harvey doll on the interview, but then you never get to see it as a student. Just hearsay.

ross has 4 or 5 I think.

We had 2 setup when I was there. Harvey and this one for pulmonary stuff.

They had purchased more, but weren't setup when I was last there.

UVA has a Harvey. You spend about 30 minutes with it first year when you learn cardiac physio and the cardiac exam, that's about it. You can schedule time to use it whenever you want to listen to different heart sounds.
