I just was curious to see what schools people were still waiting on to hear from regarding whether or not you got an interview. I understand that over time this thread will prove to be useless, but i just wanted to get a relative idea of what schools people are still waiting to hear from at this moment in time. I will start:

I don't understand Stanford. They have sent out a bunch of pre-interview rejections already. They have sent out a few interview invites within the past two weeks. What the heck are they doing with my application? I contacted them and they said it is still being reviewed. Does it take 5+ months to review it?

I know a lot of other people in the same boat. How long is it going to take? Just gimme the rejection now, damnit! Don't save paper, just do it!

I think NYMC is waiting to unleash a truckload of rejections--they've had my complete application for many months and I'm pretty sure I'll get the ax soon. I really don't care about the school though.

As far as Stanford, they told us that they were pretty far behind so I wouldn't worry about not having an interview at this point. About Stanford, I'll give anyone who gets into Stanford with an outright acceptance all the props in the world: they are so competitive, it's beyond scary. They do some serious modesty-training.

Add another one waiting for Stanford. I received word from Admissions this week that they're still behind and will be interviewing through April and possibly May. The wait continues. 😛

It's good to know I so many of my fellow SDNers are also waiting on the Stanford invite. That is like my ultimate dream school.

2) Tufts (received a postcard stating my file is complete, this was in early NOVERMBER!!!)
3) NYMC (What is up with them!!!!!!, did they lose my file???)
4) SUNY Downstate (still on the HOLD for interview list, otherwise known as the delayed rejection.)

I cannot believe all the schools that are still interviewing! Aren't they supposed to submit a complete acceptance list to AMCAS by March 30th? Plus, this just holds up everyone on wait lists (like me!)Are they this behind every year??

I bug Stanford every Monday morning about my application. It's probably my top choice as well. They tell me that they're really behind.

So, we probably shouldn't be too worried about things. I think they honestly are just waiting to look at our apps, not like Harvard or Yale who tell you they are reviewing things just because they don't want to reject you just yet...

Does Stanford reject post secondary?

For those of you waiting on Sinai, Diane Bailey told me they won't stop interviewing 'til end of April and inviting people for interviews 'til the second week of April. They'll send out rejections only after they're done interviewing.

Elaina: don't worry about MCPHU yet, I called the other day and they will be interviewing through May. There is still plebty of hope for them!

For NYMC it is pretty easy to get them on the phone; just follow these simple steps. Call up, listen for the number to shecdule an interview (I believe it's number 2), and then it will connect you to a real live b!tch! Yes, that's right, I went through all this to get someone on the phone, got all excited and asked, "May I please have a status check on my application?". Then the puta said to check the website status check, so I hung up. My status check has not changed since 10/31! They suck.

The first time I called them, however, I politely stated that I received the false email interview invitation in January, and that time they actually looked up my file and told me it was still under review.

But if you have a specific question to ask them, just hit the number 2 button! 😀
