How do you calculate the science and non-science GPA?
I have a normal 4 years Bachelor's and 1 year Master's...so

I know theres's overall GPA - does that mix the two GPAs and come up with an overall GPA or leave it as two separates?
Science GPA - pretty much same question - how does that calculate?
and i think i even saw another GPA bsGPA or something?

also, how do retakes calculate into the GPA? my school would replace retakes with the previous grade, but how does this work for ADEA calculation?

they report your undergrad gpa, masters gpa, and then they report a cumulative gpa which factors grad+undergrad.

schools look at gpas differently

any input on how cumulative and science GPA are calculated if you took a post-bacc masters??

So you will have three columns of calculations that you will see calculated. First you will have one column that just includes your undergraduate science, cumulative, BCP (bio/chem/physics), and non-science. Once you finish your bachelors those numbers only change with further classes taken at the undergraduate level in a post-bad, graduate courses do not get mixed in with those numbers. The second column then to the right of the first back is going to be any course-work you took following your undergraduate career so any post-bac/masters, and thus will stand as a separate GPA (undergraduate course work will not be averaged in this GPA). Finally, you will have the third (most important!!!) column, which will have your cumulative GPA's, this one will include every class you have ever taken both masters and bachelors and will put it all together to form your cumulative GPA's. The ADCOMS will see these numbers in more presentable ways that you and I will not. They like to stack masters boxes on top of undergraduate boxes, followed by the cumulative boxes so they can make comparisons. Hope this helps!

awesome ..thanks..i was hoping masters would take preference over the others lol...my 30 credit masters probably isnt going to push up my undergrad GPA too much for a big change in the cumulative 🙁

also, i read that repeat classes original grade gets factored into the GPA - is this true or will it just calculate with the most recent grade of the repeated course?

when you retake, it's equivalent to taking another class. so in other words if you took a 3 credit science course and got a D, and then took it again and received an A, they'd count 6 credits and they would use the A and the D as a part of your gpa

i'm almost positive that's how it works.
