Hey all, I'm planning on applying this summer and I was wondering on AADSAS application, how many sections are there for GPA's. I am a math major and was wondering if I have to integrate my math GPA into my science gpa for the AADSAS or would it go under my major GPA? Thanks! good luck to everyone for the 2004 cycle.

Hi,
Well, since you are math major all your math courses will be included into your science GPA,because math is considered to be science. There are 3 sections for GPA. There is 1)overall 2)science and 3)non-science. I hope this helps. Good luck!🙂

Some schools also look at your BCP GPA.

what's BCP gpa?
😕

B=Biology
C=Chemistry
P=Physics
Your G.P.A. is compiled from these 3 types of classes and is given as a separate G.P.A. on your AADSAS application.
In addition you will have a cumulative G.P.A, and a science G.P.A.

thanks for the answers liya and mutant, but what if your math major gpa is pretty low, like 2.7 low but your other sciences are pretty high like 3.3 high. how would the dental schools distinguish that during their preliminary cycle? thanks again!

just a quick question..
How important is it to take Calculus during university?? Is it even needed?

i think it is actually needed because calculus is one of the core prerequisites for most pre-dental programs at universities and colleges

thanks for the input..!

I'm taking an Environmental Science course ( falls under physical sciences).. would that be included in my SCIENCE GPA?

ANYYYYYY ideas???

yes, I believe that the Environmental Science class would be considered a Science class and calculated under the science GPA.

Basically, if you take the courses from Physics, Biology, or Chemistry would be considered Science GPA. For other courses, they might count as overall gpa. Hope this help.
