Hey guys,

I went to UC Irvine where it was only required to take 2 qtrs worth of labs for chem/ochem/physics. I just spoke with the admissions counselor at Western and he told me that I definitely have to finish these prereqs somewhere, like community or state college at least. The problem is most of these campuses in the bay area are in semester system (UCI is qtr) and you have to take the regular lecture course even if you completed it as an undergraduate.

Not sure what I should do, just wondering if anyone else is in the same predicament and has advice.

Thanks!

Thanks, I'll look into that.

It sounds a bit ridiculous because most of the classes ive taken that included labs were a lot easier than the labs by themselves. I thought they wanted 3 quarters of chemistry and you've taken 2 quarters of chemistry without lab and a lab class by itself, that would take care of the requirement? Guess that's not the case🙁

Hey I go to UCI too, what do you mean finish up pre-reqs? Western requires a full year of labs for OCHEM/GCHEM/PHYSICS?
