My first post 🙂 sorry if this has been asked before

Whenever I look at stats for incoming med students I usually see that the average science GPA is lower than the overall GPA and the non-science GPA is much higher.

I, on the other hand, have a much higher science GPA (3.8) than non-science (3.41) and overall (3.67). I was wondering if this is a good or bad thing for me when I apply to med school. Do med schools care a lot about the non-science GPA? Should I take more non-science class to boost my non-science GPA?

I'm in the same boat. When it comes to science, exams are cake, but writing papers....I often just can't get into the professor's head, and so my humanities course grades suffer.

haha my AO, BCPM and overall are all within .01 from each other

Im in the exact opposite boat. My non-science GPA is a 4.0, while my science gpa is only about a 3.3

I don't think its that big of a deal... on a side note, just remember they want their doctors to be able to communicate effectively..

Typically your cGPA should be a bit higher than your sGPA. People expect you to rock AO courses.
