Hey guys, I tried searching but the search was not working. I was wondering what sciences are included in the science GPA. Is it all science courses taken or just the prerequisites? I have taken Microbiology, Introductory Chemistry, and a couple other science courses that are listed as a prerequisite. Will all of these classes count? I also took them about five years ago. Don’t worry I’m taking all the prerequisites now. Just a few lower level sciences that I took that I am not sure if they will count or not. Thanks everybody, I did try to search and it was not working, at least it was not when I tried it. 👍

I think they count towards your "BCP" GPA...bio chem physics...

best of luck 🙂

I know BCPGPA is bio, chem, & physics, but would an introduction to chemistry count? Seems to me to be sort of a grey area

yea, that is what I was wondering, the "please read first" says general chem. Introductory chem isn't general chem, so I was wondering if anyone had first hand experience with it. Also a Life in its Biology Evironment course I took when I first started college (don't ask me what I was thinking when I took it, I am still not sure). Anybody with experience with these chime in please.

My pre-med committe told us that your math classes should also be included as part of your science GPA.

Some introductory classes are not college level; if it is college level (100 level or above) it will be counted in your science GPA but not qualify for the pre-req chem. requirement which has to be a year long general level chemistry course designed for science majors. As always, questions such as these should be directed to AACOM who are the only ones that can give you an official response. Good luck

For DO schools your pre-med committee is wrong. You can call AACOMAS to confirm and have them call AACOMAS as well.
