To all my SDN friends
I have got my NBDE Part 1 score of 87% in Dec 2006means old pattern.
MY ECE Gpa is just 2.5.
My part 2 score is 81% .
toefl is 104.
some 2 CE courses in implant.
Since that time i am applying to schools and wasting my lot of money .
got interveiw call from 2 -3 university and got never ended waitlisted position. Same thing from 2 year . now applied again this year.
But having no hopes. Now my scores sound very old my gpa low . and no status in USA. what , How , FInacial criasis, and family burdens.

I dont know from where to start and what to do .
ITs kind of very big questionmark in front of my future and my life.

I make a humble request to all my SDN friends , please post your suggestions open heartedly.
Advice me what ?
Wheather i should take part 1 again or leave as it is .
My heart is broken , I dont have strength to concentrate and work hard. i am in depression and feel like quit and go back .

I am only going to make my decesion after your suggestion . Please dont hesitate to write a very bitter veiws too.
But please guide me what can i do.
I have a great hope from all of u.
Thanks

You can't do anything about your GPA, that's for sure. SO you have to decide if you retake Part I or II. Since I saw that people don't get really high Part II scores(I think your Part II score is competitive), I would suggest you take Part I again. But you have to decide really soon because you have to retake until december 2009 the latest.
Don't get discouraged. Pick up your strength, take your books, make a good studying and revision plan and retake Part I. I am not saying that 87 is not a good score. It is. but for some reason you didn't get any admission. Maybe you should revise your resume as well. Volunteer in a dental office or something similar. Maybe improve your statement of purpose, make it more appealing.
Anyway, I wish you good luck!

Hey dentistry ,

ur part 1 scores are not bad, i'd say rather good, if not excellent . But honestly i wud suggest you to re-assess ur SOP and resume and stuff. I have heard of people getting admitted with ur scores to good schools, try and get good RL frm ppl/faculty who support u and in good terms with u.

Dnt get disheartened, dont lose hope, thats why we all have chosen the tougher route, if u go back u will fail urself and tell everybdy u tried but cudnt, howe'er look at it from this perspective, u might hav the toughest time now, but still u "DID IT" woud be BANG ON , a winners way of dealing with things. Please try hard to erase the fine lines b/n losers n winners.

Saying is easy, but i tell u, ppl who still are planning to take nbde are in a much more difficult positioin, coz of recently stringent ADA rules , and wud this put off a few? I guess on the contrary, ppl are gonna be more motivated to give their very best at the first shot.

Live through hard times, they are a part n parcel of everybdy's life, but be a success !!!!👍

GOOD LUCK !!!!👍👍👍
Keep us posted !!!
