got a 216/88 on step I and that was released to programs. Just found out that I got a 183/75 and just squeaked by on step 2 CK...unfortunately ended up trying to taking it during a two month span of two diff. sub-I's and obviously it didn't work out. Programs haven't gotten a released score for step II yet but now are starting to ask about it. i was hoping to get away with not giving it them until i matched but now a few want to know. any advice in terms of how i can avoid sliding down their rank lists. thanks.

There isn't a whole lot you can do. Don't lie and say your scores aren't back yet. See if they will accept a copy of your score report so you don't have to release your scores to everyone. Now that interiews are done, there isn't a lot you can do to explain it. At least you passed though. Maybe they won't care that much, and they just want to make sure you passed.

Release the score to any program asking for it. It will not hurt too much especially that your step1 score is still in the average. Some programs will not rank FMG without scores in their hands.
