i had a dream last night that i got an interview invite via snail mail and inside was a pair of scrubs that i was supposed to wear to the interview (along with a hat of my choosing). good times. seriously.

if anyone actually wears scrubs and a hat (mine was a cowboy hat in the dream) to an interview, i'll give you a dollar.

haha thats funny. make that 1 dollar and 37 cents.

If I was already accepted at my dream school with great financial aid, i'd do it. But you'd have to pay at least plane ticket and hotel room 😉

I thought this was going to be about the TV show. It'd be great to have an interview in which all you discussed was the best Dr. Cox lines. 😀

My girlfriend interviewed with a guy who wore t-shirt and jeans. He flew in the night before his interview and the airline lost his luggage. And it was at UPenn! I think they were understanding though.

wow... i always carried my suit as a carry-on.

Me too, but I'm in trouble now. My suit was just a speedo and body paint to show off my physique... now I'm going to have to check my bodypaint!
but if you paint yourself before you go, you'll be all set.

As far as interview dreams and attire go, how 'bout this:

For some ungodly reason, I'm working the night before my interveiw. My boss will let me leave early (about 6am). Well, I finish my work early, and I go into the shower in the report room, everything is going fine, then as I'm getting dressed in heels and a skirt suit, a code is called. I sprint the 100 or so meters to the code wearing only skirt, hose, shoes and a bra!
😳

I'd be so thrilled if my interview nightmares were ones in which I just wore scrubs and a hat!

I know someone who this happened to, who managed to borrow a badly fitting sports coat and tie from a relative working in the area, and actually still got into the school anyhow. But he got a lot of odd looks from his fellow interviewees.

You think everyone would, right? Especially if you're interviewing at PENN! 🙄

I'm actually very surprised that someone was not arrogant enough to have worn scrubs to a med school interview.

I'll bet a dollar that someone has already done this.

Dean at Columbia said someone came in with a ballerina outfit.

BTW, she stressed that guys should not be wearing pink shirts/ties to the interview.

if you carry them on, how do you keep them from getting wrinkly?
or did you buy one of those special suit carrier things?

Really? I thought pink on guys has become widely-accepted. I wear pink. It can look really sharp if done right. But still, I wouldn't wear it to an interview.

I was wearing a pink polo shirt when she was giving a presentation. She mentioned something about seeing Puffdaddy on the cover of a magazine wearing pink, and apparently she's not too fond of P Diddy.
