I would like to ask for an informal list of abbreviations and terms that frequently appear on SDN. I find it frustrating to have to figure them out in threads where everyone else seems to just get it. A few abbreviations I figured out are:

SDN: Student Doctor Network 😀
URM: Under-Represented Minority
AdCom: Admissions Committee
IMO: In my opinion

Abbreviations (gosh, why is this word so long) and terms I have yet to figure out:

OP:
Troll: (obviously not an abbreviation but some term to designate something/someone)
Bump:

What else?

Bump- I believe it's just a way of pushing the thread back up to the top of the forum so it'll get more attention.

OOS = out of state
IS = in state
LOR = letters of recommendation

I'll add more as I think of them. These should really be made into one large list and turned into a sticky titled, "New to these forums? Read this first!"

Troll- someone who posts something, but isn't serious about it. Sometimes it'll be an user asking if their 45T and 3.99 will get them into ANY medical school in the US, while others are ones that tell their stories of having a 2.0 and 19K and getting in.

troll: (obviously not an abbreviation but some term to designate something/someone) omg.i have 4.0/45 mcat. What are my chances?
bump: bump the thread. It's like you use it when you wanna bump the thread.

IIRC: If I remember correctly...
FWIW: For what it's worth...
IMHO: In my humble opinion...
IMG: International medical graduate
QFT: Quoted for truth
MS-#: Medical student-(year #)
PGY-#: Post-graduate year-(year #), refers to residents and fellows

um these are all pretty common abbreviations not exclusive to SDN... if you've been on forums often, they're not too difficult.
