I can't shake the feeling I got from their earlier message. They also said they would be more active today. BUT... With all these votes and their earlier defensiveness... Wouldn't we expect some more protest / blame shifting from them? I'm leaning TFC rn.

That being said I'm still weary of CeeGee. But they were against us kicking inactive players. Wouldn't a wolf be okay with us yoinking a potentially innocent fellow villager?

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I work mostly in the afternoon and evenings on non-clinical days, so I’ve been running errands. Don’t worry, I see the pitchforks and torches now, so I’ll be around. Just saying for the record, Yeet’ing me would be a mistake and the wolves are prob loving the cover.

Do wolves in this iteration have any restrictions from day interactions? I wonder if those not around are absent bc of that or similar? I don’t have a reference for 95% of the players, so I’m trying to think outside of the box until more info is available.

I’m skeptical of ppl who want to be mayor and/or those who jump in early on someone. The only vibes I saw were fruit being a bit overly-posty, but that might be them. I post in spurts bc I take breaks throughout my work day bc I’m out-pt and can work more non-traditional hours.

Like I said, I missed a bunch of posts. Are you saying you would have expected her to try and deflect votes onto another inactive player?

Obviously I voted for her, and I haven't seen enough to be convinced to switch my vote, but to me that would be so obvious that it would be an even bigger red flag. She probably is just focused on defending herself and doesn't feel like she has leverage to try and direct attention towards a specific different player.

But I think she would act that way regardless of whether she was a cornered wolf, or an innocent villager who was getting targeted.

Perhaps I was thinking too much like myself. I was expecting if CeeGee was sus they would be happy to allow beans and I to evict inactive players instead of them, but they protested that.

This is a good point. For all we know wolves could have limited posts during the day. This would somewhat explain the three barely-not present players and place more scrutiny on them.

While there are sometimes mechanics that may cause an individual to be unable to post, there would NOT be a mechanic that would blanket-group people by affiliation and limit their posting. That would be game-breaking.

This is a good point. For all we know wolves could have limited posts during the day. This would somewhat explain the three barely-not present players and place more scrutiny on them.

in the past few games i played here both as a townie and as a wolf, there were no posting limitations except for the championship game and the limit was for everyone. since then, only minimum number of posts enforced.

This is my biggest point of suspicion for ceegee, especially considering they were being a bit dogpiled earlier - wouldn't they push to vote an inactive player instead?
I'm not sure I'm swayed enough to change my vote [yet] but I'm on board with your logic.

I dunno, I can see a risk/reward mechanism where a wolf could get an extra….something (?) but it’d cause them to be mute for a day cycle. I played at least one game in the past where someone couldn’t post during the day if it was limited in # of words? It was something weird like that.

3) I also didn't vote for them and campaigned for rae
4) after all that, I think I almost got eaten last night
5) despite being mayor, has a pattern of disappearance today - voted for an absentee player and checked out

it's not that its unpopular. anyone is a suspect until proven otherwise. it's your reasons rather that make raise an eyebrow. particularly the claim beans was in the lead and that you were going to be eaten last night without providing too much to support that.

i could say "i was almost eaten last night because my dog had an emergency and i would be easy to eliminate since im not wolf and my inactivity proved to be a weakness for town and an upper hand for wolves" but there's still no real rhyme or reason to back that up since i don't know for certain i was going to be yeeted.

Being suspicious of inactives isn’t a red flag IMO. Laying low is a known strategy for wolves as giving less info helps them avoid suspicion. Me and beans who initially voted for you were not under scrutiny at the time of the vote either.

Regardless - we kind of backed off our suspicion of you, but now that you’re back your defense is pretty weak

So after D1 I very loosely had @katiemcat and @sksisk as village reads after missing the major vote. Mayor voting is pretty low stakes for wolves (as far as analyzing voting patterns) and the fact that they were willing to miss the day indicates to me 1) they're wolves that were too busy to even read their role pm and find out they're a wolf, or 2) they're village and could risk missing the mayor vote without too much suspicion. If they knew they were a wolf I would have expected at least a quick check in.

I did think it was odd that @apoptosis09 never self voted for mayor even though they were on the board at one point and even made one short "campaign" type post.

For me, it’s purely just not playing in forever and the first day I see my name floated. Someone lamented about going out early/first in another game, and I want to avoid that.

What some think is avoidant or Wolfy is just me being a bit neuro spicy. It’s hard to decipher nuance on here. I actually thought I was being helpful pointing out the timing of posts, but that is….bad? I feel like I play a pretty straightforward way, so getting picked off early is really my biggest concern bc guile and deception aren’t really in my DNA.

CG, you def seemed a bit dodgy, but it was the weekend, so I figured I’d give a day or two before making an initial judgment.

I can still sway back to CG, but I figured I’d move over to where I felt the strongest. It’s definitely challenging being neurospicy on here, so, noted!
