I think I said this before, and I'll try to say it again later this weekend, but the fam and I are going to the beach Thursday-Sunday. Equally likely that I will be absent vs. extra active.

We do have a jumping spider that lives in our bathroom named James. If he wasn’t a jumping spider (aka cute and small) I would have a major issue. But, I watched him take down a gnat once and well, respect.

Finally caught up on the EOD events from last night - it is disappointing that we lost our tracker bc that is SUCH a useful role (and apologies sksisk, it's no fun to get misyeeted).
But as others have said, onwards and upwards! I firmly believe our village will find and eliminate the wolves wreaking havoc on our peaceful fair.
Take this fine evening to relax, recover, and enjoy some deep fried treats. Tomorrow, we hopefully catch a killer!

Ohhh pretty! Florida bugs might be big, but at least theyre colorful 😅 when I moved east and saw orb weavers for the first time, I was so jealous that the west just gets the ugly scary ones like cat face and camel spiders 🥲

They really are! One time while in the bath (more shower thoughts apparently), I watched him clean himself (I think) and honestly it was stupid cute. I ❤️ jumping spiders.

To be fair our surgery residency is pretty great.

We don’t typically have bugs invade the hospital, but we did have a deer bust into the SAH lobby last summer and have to be darted by zoo med and its broken bones repaired by ortho.

My spouse informed me last night that he had to wait to take the trash out until this morning.

Why? We have a big, majestic orb weaver that likes to make their evening web on the can. If you wait until morning, they clean up and go sleep and we get our cans back. 🤣
