SDN Fairgrounds - 10th Annual Noob WW Game

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
And yet, for all that, nothing broke the rhythm of the night. No crashes, no shouts, no sudden silences. Even the ducks seemed to have settled down. The midway carried on as though nothing had changed, the neon lights painting cheerful colors across the dark.
ok this is interesting, i donโ€™t see anything alarming from this

WELCOME TO THE SDN FAIRGROUNDS!

View attachment 407809

The gates swing open with a cheerful creak, and the warm afternoon air rolls in thick with the scent of buttered popcorn, sizzling corn dogs, and spun sugar. The distant, metallic clang of a bell signals a lucky winner at the ring toss, while somewhere nearby a calliope wheezes out a jaunty tune that floats over the fairgrounds.

The cotton candy vendor is already at work, twirling pink and blue clouds of sugar around paper sticks, handing them to eager children with sticky fingers and eyes wide with delight. Across the midway, the raffle organizer stands behind a bright red booth, cheerfully doling out numbered tickets and promising โ€œthe biggest prizes this side of the Ferris wheel.โ€

From the center of the fair, the ride operator calls over the crowd with a megaphone, announcing that the Tilt-A-Whirl is ready for its next load of thrill-seekers. The metallic groan of the machinery rises and falls with each spin, mingling with squeals of laughter from the passengers. The bumper cars are already sparking and buzzing under the lights, with drivers young and old grinning as they deliver gleeful collisions.

Down the food row, the lemonade stand owner pours ice-cold drinks into sweating paper cups, the tart citrus scent cutting through the heady perfume of funnel cakes frying in hot oil. The funnel cake vendor dusts a fresh batch with powdered sugar, sending a fine white cloud into the air that glitters briefly in the sunlight before drifting down to the wooden counter.

Somewhere near the livestock pens, the ferris wheel attendant is chatting amiably with the line of fairgoers, pointing up at the slowly turning wheel that offers a panoramic view of the grounds. Children dart between the legs of their parents, chasing balloons and the sound of the midway games; the distant bleat of a goat carries over the noise as a cool breeze stirs the scent of hay.

This year marks the first fair without old Mr. Harlan at the helm. After forty years of running the show, he finally hung up his straw hat and retired to a quiet little farmhouse on the edge of town. The midway feels a little different without his booming laugh echoing over the loudspeakers, but the show must go on.

Now, itโ€™s up to the rest of the crew to choose a new leader, someone to keep the rides spinning, the booths bustling, and the crowds happy. The staff have agreed to settle it the fairest way they know how: a good old-fashioned vote.

As the sun dips a little lower and the lights along the Ferris wheel blink to life, conversations buzz between booths and food stands, each worker making their case for who should guide the fair through the season ahead.

Step right up โ€” the funโ€™s just getting started.

Yea it's not like the last one with vampy where it had a negative tone. This feels very neutral like maybe it was a result of a village night action or predetermined or something

well im not now benedict cumberbatch GIF by BBC

im in the middle of a dead by daylight game playing as mommy hustress so i cant read the write up, and im on laptop so all i say right now:

YESSSSSSS!!! THIS PUTS US IN SUCH A GOOD SPOT RIGHT NOW

Everyone take note.
I also want to finally discuss the bandwagons. It has seemed (from my perspective but we have established I'm a bad post history sleuth lolz) that people have specifically wagoned in whichever direction I vote (as a generally early and stable voter). Which makes sense since I've been solidly read as village by pretty much everyone.

For that reason I'm looking at CG specifically for the late-day wagoning, however I'm also not opposed to overhauling our thought proccess and considering someone else entirely since following the early reads has lost us villagers.

Also looking at beans, who due to the poisoning(?) was not really in the hot seat as it would have been a waste of a yeet if they did die.

yeet fruits

@kaydubs @Animal Midwife

I have been a little slower to vote on the initial days and I have jumped in a little late, where people havenโ€™t really paid attention ton of attention, and I didnโ€™t want to ruffle feathers. But my gut hasnโ€™t changed in the last 24h. Fruits is the player who has had the most inconsistencies in their story and the one I find most sus.

Beans is alive - so they were never poisoned or someone healed them.

Something still doesnโ€™t feel right here.

Vampy was actually the first to vote T4C yesterday and I followed shortly after and so did katie. Fruit came along quite a bit later to vote T4C and then you voted 9 minutes after he did.

I think it's pretty clear that fruit is likely village at this point. Yes, the purple thing was confusing and whatever but the real story is in the whole vampy/PBC/fruit thing. Fruit apparently has an ability to see people's affiliation, and we have confirmed from PBC and vampy themselves that they are different affiliations. Yes, they could be lying, but I don't see why they would be lying to protect fruit when both fruit and T4C tried to look into rae but were blocked. We know that T4C was village so it's compelling. Because of the revealed power ability, it's likely that fruit is high on the W's kill list so you immediately voting for him and your explanation being a "gut feeling" makes me curious about you.

Fruit is strong village to me. Why would they risk revealing their useful power and risk being killed otherwise.

My fellow fairgoers -

I have seen some speculation as to my state of health. I am pleased to report that I have been healed from the poison!
Doctor/healer, whoever you are - thank you. I owe you one.
And now we turn our attention back to the problem at hand: finding the wolves. I will post an updated reads list in the morning (as I have been).
For now, I think rae is right. The wolves are in the group that bussed out T4C. I would suggest starting there.
In advance so no one panics - I will be in and out tomorrow and probably won't be around for EOD as I have plans with my family. But I will do my best to solve when I am here!

Would it not have been included in the write-up? Or not necessarily

Night actions (with the exception of kills and actions that affect the whole group) are not included in write-ups.
Right, yes. I didn't know if maybe there would be something about our mayor being healed but it would also make sense that it wasn't

Yea I'm saying our GI unit was a breeze. I had more free time than the other body systems
Can't say about UCD's GI unit. I've just been told it's a good idea to not drink the night before my cardio exam, so I'm assuming that'll be a beast

IDK if UCD has clinics regulations but I was on anesthesia 24 hours straight and a classmate was on soft tissue surg 36.

A few odd sights stood out in the dark: a booth shuttered more firmly than usual, a tent glowing faintly as if lit through the night, the flash of a vest passed off with a wink, and the strange impression that some lucky soul was getting more than their fair share of attention. Even the whisper of unseen voices seemed to stir through the grounds, trailing after one particular fairgoer like the creak of old wheels on an empty track. And somewhere in the midway, rumors spread of a quiet deal-maker, not a killer nor a savior, but someone handing out tickets for reasons no one could quite explain.
I can't quite explain it, but I feel like this section here is explaining the potential power roles people have. I'm trying to think of any roles in a typical fair these statements could relate to, but nothing yet...
