part of me wants to give a benefit of doubt that beans is being genuine somehow here but like... i feel we're getting played

i also strongly think there's at least one wolf among beans, rae, spurs, and CG

Alright intentionally responding without catching up cuz I don’t want to be accused of following.

@beans2020 looked real sus to me towards the end of the last cycle. I agree, there were real inconsistencies in her story. That said, I have a hard time squaring a W with a night canceling ability. It seems almost exclusivity village aligned, and even if one could exist as a W… to use it at this point? When beans is already on the outs? I sort of feel like the W’s would just take their kill, give her up as a sacrifice while fully supporting it, and blending right back in. I guess, unless beans is a lone wolf? Is that a thing in these games? My head hurts. Anyways, without exhaustively reviewing beans’s posts I loosely get the sense that she was cagey at the end of the last day because she was busy and didn’t want to reveal her mayor and player powers, and she came off as sus. I have her squarely mid… but she wouldn’t be at the top of my hit list.

As I previously explained, I do think one of @_rae_ or @vampyrica is scum. I feel Rae’s deep dive on vampy rubbed me as scum trying to frame specifically trying to frame another player to try and show they’re trying really hard to help the village. If apop had flipped W, Rae or vampy would likely be at the top of my list going into today.

That’s where I stand coming into today. Now I’ll look at who else posted so far and I’m sure I will see I look like an idiot

Whatever the cause, the first pie never reached a mouth. It sailed through the air instead, splattering across its intended target with a glorious, gooey smack.

The crowd roared, and suddenly, every contestant looked down at the pies in their hands. Eating seemed far less interesting than throwing. The contest was over before it began, replaced by a full-scale pie battle, the midway ringing with laughter, shrieks, and the unmistakable sound of pastry meeting face.

By the end, the judges could only shrug, wiping stray filling from their own clothes. The official rules had been forgotten, but a new challenge had taken shape.

Each player may choose one other player to throw a pie at during Day 5.

Who will be the most splattered of all?​

I am planning on doing the bulk of my investigating tomorrow (both because I'm sleepy and I want to give people a chance to answer my questions). But I will be around for a little while if anyone else has questions or points for discussion tonight.

I think that you, Katie, and spiane are definitely village. We know your role of being able to compare two players' affiliations each night. Katie has been super helpful and pressures the sus players which reads very village to me. And as you were able to see the previous night, spiane and I are the same affiliation, so spiane is in the clear.

Beans was sus to me especially after I saw the results of the previous day (apop getting yeeted), but their explanation of that, combined with their role reveal (ability to cancel night actions for one night), is sufficient for me to put them in the clear for now.

I think we should analyze CG and Spurs more. To me, CG reads as noob village-- they do try to help, and I know that people have mentioned their tendency to bandwagon, but maybe that's just them trying to figure out the game? I'd be open to hearing more reasoning as to why people think they are sus though. I can't get a good read on Spurs at the moment. He can honestly be either way.

To me, rae seems to be the most sus. Something about her pretty intense campaigning against vampy just felt really off. I think I will vote for rae, CG, or Spurs since I believe at least one of them are W.

I’m seriously telling everyone, break apart your village blocc. Scrutinize everything. At least 30-40% of who’s left is wolf or scum.

I will not be able to really respond or investigate until about 12 EDT tomorrow.

Some roles can't act on the same person multiple times.
 
Because we're at the point in the game where anyone could be a wolf. I've been doing more blind trusting this game than I probably should have and it hasn't ended well. And that's on me. I'm not asking you to tell me your role because I know that's dangerous. Believe me, my goal is not to get everyone to role reveal on thread. I'm trying to figure out where your information is coming from so I know if I can trust it or not.

I know because of a role. I’m not going to say more than that because you’re not exactly viewed as trustworthy right now.

But also… figure out if you can trust it why?

This is to back up a theory that your motivations behind canceling night actions could have been different than “saving another villager.”
 
Because that's a mechanic I haven't heard before and I wanted to make sure it wasn't being pulled out of thin air. I feel like I've seen multiple claims about player roles/night actions over the past couple of days without much substance behind them and chances are they aren't all truthful. I'm trying to re-evaluate my previous village reads because I'm not so sure they're all correct and that includes you, katie. I'm trying to approach everything players are claiming at this point with a level of skepticism because clearly I've missed some wolves up to this point and I don't want to miss anymore.
(That being said, please don't feel like you have to elaborate on this anymore - I believe you for now).

Beans using their ability has gotten some of us to back off from her for now, so I wouldn't say it was a complete waste of her ability if she is W. If she hadn't used it, she would have almost been certainly yeeted in D5. Then again, I am still curious about her other mayor perks and why she hasn't used them yet. She did say if she used her perks, the mods would announce it in the thread, so I understand the secrecy, for now.

Idk… the math still doesn’t math. Even if the wolves manage to save beans for a cycle or two, isn’t there a decent chance the vote lands on a different wolf? And wouldn’t that just be worse than moving forward with night kill? Obviously if we misyeet again then this works out then, but unless we are totally off base in our suspicions it seems like they are potentially trading one w for another. As I previously speculated, giving up a night kill would seem to require a massive ROI; and this doesn’t seem like it to me.

Would love a deep dive on beans tomorrow. And Rae for that matter. Those two along with vampy are at top of my list

Hiya! Am I in my cozy bed with my spouse after a nasty migraine and a horrible shift? No! I’m at work with a 20 lb cat trying to will it to sleep after I gave buprenorphine intrafat. So I thought I would take this opportunity to answer @beans2020 question.

Basic timeline:
N1 - this is the night fruit claimed to look into me. I got a message about feeling a benevelont presence nearby, but that’s it.
N2 - this is the night T4C claimed to look into me. I got no message, suggesting that the benevolent presence from N1 might not be fruit and might be an additional person who had yet to say anything.
N3 - I got a message stating I was compelled to be immune from blocks for that night only.
N4 - I got no message at all.

Do you have further questions?

yesterday you said me and rae, now you say me or rae? i feel like i asked this already, but why that flip flop?
 
okay i'm all caught up, am i understanding this correctly?

- beans mayoral power was that if town goes to misyeet them, they get a one time get out of jail free card and it automatically yeets the runner up
- beans actual power is a one time night cancel ability, which was used last night and disclosed on thread

so if thats the case, beans used both abilities back to back (whether automatically or on purpose) and they're down to zero....that's really bad information to just have out in the open in the thread, but the damage is done and we need to move forward strategically.
 
so this buys us a little bit of time, which is helpful, but at the same time, this is way too helpful for wolves to get more information out on the thread on who to out next. i think those who have not RR yet should not and should just keep their abilities to themselves to preserve as much of our town abilities and power roles as we can.

So I’m a player who gives zero craps about village consensus and if I have a gut feeling I go for it. Which is a convenient excuse for scum but also, I yam who I yam yknow?

I still stand by that one of my biggest pieces of evidence that vampy is not village aligned is that she says she’s blocked N3 and that HAPPENS to be the night no one dies.
