Largest salamander species in the US, cousins to the EVEN MORE GIANT Japanese and Chinese giant salamanders, which can get 4-6 feet long.

Ours tend to max out less than 2 feet nose to tail tip. None of these were quite that long but one was the largest I've personally met at just under 1kg.

Last summer I had to give a 1 hour educational talk on Chinese salamanders to a classroom of 3 year olds. That might've been the hardest thing I've ever done LOL. Curse the teacher who chose salamanders over turtles!

Just bought three new video games for $16. I never buy anything full price (with very few exceptions) because the PS4 store is always running some kind of sale. Now if Nintendo could catch up with that concept.
 
I was looking for terrestrials along the creek bed today too but didn't find any 😔 miss Tennessee where you just turn over any old slightly damp rock and find a little dude hangin out

...anyway, back to the game :ninja:

Yeah we also had an entire tote full of props and supplemental stuff for turtles, but only a couple of salamander things. I could pass around turtle shells and eggs and stuff
