It was super specific. If the first person I gave tickets to gets 3 of them AND survives till the end, I meet my exclusive win condition.

EDIT: That person would be fruit...cause I figured he would make it. Damn it, beans!

Well, I'm sorry, I had to make sure the people I gave them to would make it! And I was worried the W would kill you since you were pretty much considered V. If it weren't for Beans being mayor, maybe fruit would still be here with us.

I meant if one of use from that vote was randomly blocked, not that all of us would have been blocked :laugh: I'm not sure, but it tracks with pie being referenced in my night results

I don't know why that seemed sus to you that my blocking could have come out of that mechanism, especially if our known blocker was accounted for last night.

I listened to the mourning doves at my parents' house for an entire month this summer thinking I was hearing owls. I was telling everyone how cool it was that there was an owl living in the yard until it was revealed to me that that's what doves sound like.

It’s okay, I grew up with them being like 1 of 2 birds we saw/heard in Chicago and didn’t learn that they were doves until I was far too old haha. I also thought there was an owl that lived in our tree
 
Night 6: A Night Without Tragedy


The fairgrounds slumbered under the moonlight, lanterns winking softly like half-told secrets. And yet, when dawn rolled around, there was no tragedy to report. Everyone stirred, everyone stretched, everyone was still here.

How curious.

Perhaps someone had fumbled the job, their hand shaking just before the strike, nerves getting the better of them. Perhaps the would-be murderer mistimed their action, walking into an empty tent and finding only dust and a half-eaten corndog. Or perhaps a protector’s watchful eye caught just the right moment, stepping in with perfect timing, like a magician whisking away the blade.

Then again, maybe it was all more accidental than that. Maybe the target tripped over a stray duck and never made it home, sparing themselves entirely by chance. Maybe a pie crust still stuck to their face turned the fatal blow into nothing more than a splat. Stranger things had happened here.

Or was it something deeper? Maybe the killers had turned their attention elsewhere, deciding it was wiser to recruit than to destroy, whispering temptations into the ear of a good soul until their loyalty began to bend. Maybe the real danger was not in the knives that flashed in the dark, but in the quiet conversations that reshaped allegiances.

Of course, there were other rumors too. Some wondered aloud if there had ever been another wolf at all, or only paranoia, smoke, and mirrors. Maybe the “final wolf” was a story told to explain the chaos of the fair, and the fairgoers were doing all the damage themselves. Others pointed to stranger signs: extra tickets appearing where no raffle had been held, slips of colored paper tucked into pockets with no memory of how they got there. They laughed off the thought, but the idea lingered...perhaps there was someone with their own prize in mind, someone whose victory would not be shared with anyone else.

Whatever the truth, it would not be known. The only certainty was that morning came with every player still on their feet, eyes darting at one another, wondering why.

And if you listened closely, just beneath the cheerful calls of the midway, you could almost hear the fair itself chuckling, as if in on a joke too big for any one player to catch.

No one has died.​
 
It is now Day 7.
