So the definition of "safe space" from Google is:
a place or environment in which a person or category of people can feel confident that they will not be exposed to discrimination, criticism, harassment, or any other emotional or physical harm.
I don't think SDN qualifies as a criticism free zone. If people find their views challenged, it may lead to hurt feelings (e.g. emotional harm). From that perspective, I would answer "no" to the survey and instead send people back to ASTRO if they want an echo chamber.

SDN is totally safe. You may sign up and post anonymously. SDN moderators may not share any information about your account. You cannot be "doxxed", and any attempts will lead to ban of an offending user. There is no other environment that is as safe for discussion of medical topics as SDN.

If one would like to be in a safe space where any dissenting views are automatically attacked as racist/sexist ROHUB may be for you. There one may be surrounded by others who believe in the cabal of white men trying to keep everybody else out, only female allowed maybe their own daughter.

I know the threads you’re talking about, but it’s crickets over at ROHUB. There’s like one post every 4 days and it’s rarely anything interesting. There were those one or two heated threads and otherwise not much to be mad about
As I've posted previously, if you're worried about being microaggressed maybe this field is not a good fit for you...
The best discussions are on SDN - period.
