What's up with that? They sent me an e-mail that says Season's Greetings. Are they just wishing me a happy Christmas, which is in 3 weeks?

Hi. I was wondering the same thing. I have received 3 copies of the same email within the past few days. Problem is I can't open them, the attachment is a strange file that won't open. Anyone else have this happen?
anyway, it is nice of them to send holiday cheer 😀

It's only Dec 6th though.

yah, i didn't think about that. 🙂 although hanukkah is soon, maybe they just wanted to cover all the December Holidays

when i applied they sent a "happy holidays" card in the mail. when i was accepted, i got handwritten notes from each of my interviewers congratulating me... it's just how they are here... exceedingly friendly!

I couldn't open the attachment either. It is kind of nice, though. They must have sent everyone who submitted a primary application to them one, because I didn't return my secondary, and I got one.

I didn't submit any application and I still got it

I was wondering the same thing. The e-mail I got has the subject heading "Seasons Greetings," but nothing in the body except the school's contact information.

I received one last week, and when I checked my status online, it was updated. I also got another one today though, but my other evaluation still doesn't look like it's been received (even though it's in their office at this very moment).

Oh well. It's a nice gesture. I'll have to call them still to clarify my LOR situation.

Ha! They sent me two so far, but no strange attachment.

I turned down their acceptance offer awhile ago, so I guess they aren't holding a grudge anyway. :luck:

I have recieved two as well. I think they have to much free time on there hands in the admissions office this time of year. They say they get busy this time of year preparing for the break, but I didn't know that this is what they are busy doing.

I got it, too. Some email programs will take an email that includes a graphic/photo (like this ecard) and call that an attachment even though the email program displays it on the screen.

Eh, I know. I got two copies. So I called them. It's just a "seasons greeting" as in the subject line is the only thing that matters.

I was confused about getting that email since I've already been rejected! I was thinking, how about a nice acceptance along with your greetings! 😀

This is pretty strange...

My file is almost complete, with the exception of one letter, but today KCOM sent me an e-mail titled "Interested in Medical School?" Lo and behold, it is a brochure about the osteopathic profession. I think it's really nice that they're going out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, but I think it's kind of funny that I applied there and yet they sent me that.

I got the e-mail too, but this thread has cleared up the confusion for me. I do appreciate the season's greetings, and have found that Kirksville was the only school that I applied and got accepted to that really made an effort to keep me there after the acceptence was extended, they even called my wife and told her about life in Kirksville. Honestly, that is helping me to make the decision.
