Hi All,

I'm a long time poster here on SDN in both the PM&R and Pain Medicine forums. We have an opening at my institution for a general outpatient physiatrist with roughly the following mix of clinical duties:

-outpatient only, unless you want to do inpatient
-40-50% EMG with a very large referral base ready to fill you up
-25-40% outpatient rehabilitation medicine including: SCI, TBI, Stroke, ortho, gait, spasticity. Minimal amputees unless you want to develop that. Little to no peds or cervical SCI unless you want to develop that.
-25% general MSK physiatry.

***Interventional image guided pain procedures are not an option in this position. We are not looking for candidates primarily interested in spine and sports.***

In general, it offers a lot of EMG, outpatient rehab and general MSK stuff, with a huge built in referral network and you will be busy from the get-go.

General Physiatry/Rehabilitation Outpatient Practice
Training required in EMG & Nerve Conduction Studies
Strong referrals from within the PMC group and the community
Work with Modern, Progressive NMS division that includes Neurology, Orthopedics, Pain Medicine, Rheumatology and Sports Medicine
Full PT department to assist in evaluation and therapeutics
Interventional Pain Program
Interventional spine and pain procedures are not part of this particular job opportunity
Some travel to other local clinic locations
