The first time I took the MCAT in June of 2018, I received a disappointing 506 (129,125,127,125) or 68th percentile. I recently got my scores back for the August 3, 2019 MCAT exam, in which I ended up scoring a relatively balanced 515 (129,127,129,130) or 92nd percentile. I have just finished submitting my secondaries, and I began to wonder how medical schools would view my old score. I realize that some schools average the MCAT while others emphasize the most recent or highest score. Combined with my 3.93 GPA, should this new MCAT score help amend the previously lackluster attempt?
