Second time taking organic chemistry II and not doing too well should I drop it or stick it through?

Just finished the 1st exam and felt like I did really bad. I studied but orgo has always been really confusing for me. I don't wanna fail again. So I can either "W" drop which will show on transcript or attempt to stick it through and by some miracle ace the next exams. The exams are mostly written so the prof knows their challenging and will add decent curve. So hopefully that can help boost my grade if I keep the class? I feel like as much as I don't want to I should just try even harder and get through it instead of dropping but not completely sure. I also don't wanna fail again. But at this point i'll be happy with even a C. I know this looks bad on grad school apps and i'm really worried but I just can't seem to grasp this course. I don't know what to do.

If you knew you would struggle why take it in the summer? They are always condensed and/or move faster than fall/spring courses.

Wait until you see your exam grade and then go from there. W is probably the best option if you truly feel you will not perform well. Then take it in the fall when you are not overloaded. Develop a study strategy and Get Help from your student success center. There is no shame in tutoring or outside assistance. Go to office hours too.

If you did well in Orgo 1, my advice would be to see how you do on the first test. If it is not at least C material, take the W and only apply to schools that will accept Biochem in place of Ochem 2. This route assumes you will do OK in Biochem. If it is above C material, stick it out, take the C (try to do better if you can) and call it a day.

I agree w/ the above: see how you did first. Thought I flunked an anatomy lab practical and ended up acing it.
If you actually bombed it, I agree w/ MemeLord: take the W and assess from there. If it's salvageable, REVIEW the exam, get a tutor, lighten ECs, and seek outside support to help solidify the information you're learning in class. I doubt that you are completely incapable of understanding it, but how you're studying may not be the most effective for you.

Also, unrelated but @MemeLord so glad to see hellfire Elmo has returned. TBH missed seeing him when lurking.
