Better to request in July then to find out in August or Sept that you're not under review yet because they didn't get something in the mail. 😱

What ever happened with your lost letters? I haven't been keeping up the past couple days.

One more thing, whoever is controlling the list, you can take UC Sand Diego off the bottom list because it is already on the top list now.
 
Woohoo, I just got my UCSD secondary. It's going to be a pain in the ass. You have to write a whole new biographical essay. :-(

Does anyone know if GWU, Georgetown, EVMS, or UVA have a page where you can check the status of your application (once you're been granted a secondary)?

Also, for the person that got the Louisville seconary...are you in-state or not? What were the questions on it? Thanks 🙂
 
GW and GT I think you have to call. I know for GW its between 1 and 4 on weekdays, dont dont about the others though.

GW will e-mail you once they've received your secondary. They'll also e-mail you once your application is complete 👍

I got a snail mail invite to do the secondary for University of Rochester yesterday...unfortunately our entire block had a blackout due to the intense heat and I didn't notice the package on my desk until this morning.

Temple's essay is "why Temple"

For St. Louis there isn't an essay unless you aren't in school for the 2006-2007 year then you have to say what you've been up to (character limit is 10,000). There is also an optional spot where you could add additional comments and I think most people said they wrote a little spiel on "why St. Louis"

p.s. you and are twins in stats...we have the exact same GPA and MCAT score (except for the essay score) 🙂

They dont even ask for anything. It took me literally 2 minutes to do. They wanna know if you are related to anyone who works there and who is sending your reco's. Then they say show me the money and that's it.

I'd send you the link, but they send you a personalized password via email. Sorry guys.
 
I have yet to receive the Dartmouth secondary via snail mail. If you have received it, where do you live in proximity to the school. I'm in Massachusetts. My AMCAS has been verified since early June.

I believe its a paper application. How many are you are type writing it? Thanks!
 
for NYMC: were you verified already or do they send that secondary link from prelim amcas info like other schools like GWU or UC

I recieved it this past Sat. - I am not yet verfied (soon hopefully). YES - it arrived by snail mail & I'm in PA near Philly. However, in addition to the paper application, they tell you you can access it online as well...( http://dms.dartmouth.edu/admissions/secapp/ ) under 'DMS Secondary Application' Here you can download a pdf version of it or fill out the html form and have it download and save what you entered into a word document on your computer. That's what I did b/c editing a word document is much easier. I'm almost done and print it out and send it in soon.

I always have this fear that my school e-mail blocks out "spam" because things have been filtered out in the past

Thanks! It is so much easier now they have an online/pdf version. I was afraid I would have to use a typewriter. I haven't seen one in ages. Best of luck on your application process.

heh yeah, even a typewriter wouldn't have helped as the paper was colored.. couldn't even use whiteout. I made a mistake and was SO glad it was online as well. 🙂

To receive NYMC you need to be AMCAS verified.

:laugh: You're damn skippy! Format looked good, Aung. You got it. Good work, guys. I know it takes an extra minute to be careful to not delete extra stuff, but keeping our lists clean and clear (and under control) is worth it!

I just looked at your mdapps. Looking good. Keep up the great work! If I was desperate enough, I would have take the application to CVS and looked for colored nail polish. lol. That would have been funny.
