So AMCAS isn't available to schools until 6/25, but some schools (Columbia for example), have secondaries that open 6/15ish.
1. Is there any advantage to filling these early schools out before we are officially invited? (I remember schools sending secondaries last year before I was even verified)
2. Does anyone know other schools that have early secondaries?

Unrelated question: If I have a publication, would it ever be appropriate to bring it to an interview in case the interviewer wants to get a more detailed look at it on their own time? It seems like if you had an interviewer who was really interested in something that giving them a copy to check out would create a strong image. Maybe carry it just in case?

Thanks SDN!

For your unrelated question--I wouldnt want to lug around a publication all day, it might be seen as weird/pompous/abnormal (even if your intentions are totally good). You can just send them an update with that information and link them to it. They can look at it if they want.

Columbia sends out it's secondaries in like 2 week waves or something annoying like that I think.

Also, for your publication, I think that you SHOULD carry it with you, cause most people carry a porfolio or folder with them anyways, just stick it in there. Carry it just in case, never any harm done if they're really curious.

This is exactly what I was thinking, thanks!

I seriously doubt there is any advantage to filling them out before they are officially sent out.

Baylor does this, too. I think I had my secondary finished before they officially gave me the website and everything.
