ok so this might be a stupid question. are secondary apps sent to all applicants that apply to the school, or is getting a secondary app. getting over one of the hurdles?

majority of schools just give them to everyone.

About 50/50. half the schools send out secondaries to almost everyone. The other half are alightly more selective, but they still send out secondaries to between 35 to 75% of the people who apply.
